Robin Llewellyn Grey (St. 55 - 58)
Robin Llewellyn Grey (St 55 - 58) was born on 21st October, 1940. He became a House Prefect in 1957 and was a member of the XX Club and Debating Society. He won his 1st XV Colours in 1957, his 1st XI Hockey Colours in 1957-58, the Prentice Cup in 1957 and was Captain in 1958. He also received his Miniature Shooting Range Colours in 1958. After leaving school Robin went to RNC Dartmouth and joined the Navy. After about 10 years service he took the law conversion course and qualified as a solicitor and worked in a firm in Ealing, subsequently becoming its sole partner. On retirement he returned to his origins in Scotland to establish a small holiday centre near Oban. About 10 years ago he sold the business and retired to Wiltshire, returning to London last year. In recent times he did voluntary work with the Coast Guard and was a loyal supporter of the Club, providing invaluable pro bono legal assistance to the then Club President, Andy Moore, when the school ran into financial difficulties in 1993/94, and subsequently serving as OH Club Treasurer for many years until he retired in 2018.
