Brian Sylvester Minshull (Sh. 45 - 49)

Brian passed away peacefully on 12th February 2019, aged 87 years, at his home in St Hilary, surrounded by his family. Beloved father and grandfather. A much-loved character who left a lasting impression on everybody he met, will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.

Brian joined Shallow in September 1945.  He was a good boxer and cross country runner with an engaging disregard for authority and rules, particularly those relating to uniform. Note Alastair Carnegie's description of him as dressed like "an American gangster". I recall a pale green sports jacket and a double breasted grey pinstripe jacket!

In his later life he became Chief Executive of Rizla

The Club sends its condolences to his family and friends.
