Mawson Breary (B.50-52)

The Club has recently been informed by Brain Ware OH (B.50-53) of the death in February of Mawson Breary.

Born in 1935 Mawson joined Baker in 1950. In 1952 he was awarded his Cricket 1st XI and Rugby 1st XV Colours.

After Allhallows, Mawson farmed on his family farm in Somerset and continued to play cricket with the Somerset Stragglers. When the farm was sold in the late 1960's Mawson moved to Essex to begin a new career with the NFU, eventually becoming Group Secretary, where he worked very successfully until he retired. In retirement he moved back to Somerset with his wife Geraldine. They both enjoyed cruising and at home caravanning. They had two sons, two granddaughters and four great grandchildren.

A great collector of cars, Mawson frequently changed models to such a degree that his son was once asked by an insurance broker if he was a dealer.

The Club extends its condolences to Mawson's family.
