The Club was saddened to hear of the passing of John Alan Alfred Roberts  (Headmaster's House 1953, Venning House 1953 - 56).

John Roberts was born on 1st January 1939 and joined Allhallows School in January 1953, entering first the Headmaster’s House before moving to Venning House in May of that year. During his time at school, John was a committed and active member of the community, earning Colours in both Cross-Country (1955–56) and Athletics (1956).

Academically, he achieved his G.C.E. “O” Levels in 1956. John also took part in the Combined Cadet Force, receiving Certificate "A" Part 1 in March 1954 and attending camps in Thetford (1954), Topsham (1955), and Bourley (1956), before leaving the school in July 1956.

He is remembered fondly by his contemporaries and the wider Old Honitonians community for his enthusiasm and dedication during his school years.
