2014 West Country Lunch
60 gathered for the annual West Country lunch at the Belmont Hotel on Saturday 17th May in glorious weather with the sea as calm as it could be.
The Belmont laid on an excellent buffet lunch and with several OHs making up their own tables of friends, a suitably informal atmosphere prevailed.
Mark Tatchell OH (V 66-70) gave an excellent talk about the Antarctic accompanied with superb photographs of the ice, penguins, seals and scenery taken by him during his regular trips to the area acting as guide and expert lecturer on expedition ships, usually Russian, taking up to 100 passengers.
It was good to see some OHs making a return to the lunch after many years absence and the President, Roddy Long, in thanking Mark Tatchell, expressed the hope that many more OHs would make the West Country lunch a regular dairy entry."
